While many times, this case has been overlooked, but a gender balance at senior positions could help the organization make a holistic decision. We would take the example of Apple- it released a health app in the year 2014. The app promised to keep track of various health metrics, including the alcohol content in blood, but it missed one of the significant health metrics for the women population- keeping track of menstruation. Customers started complaining of this specific challenge.
So, now if a woman at a senior position would have been asked for the opinion, she would have pushed the tech executives to work on the same, and improve customer experience.
